about

About

The idea of nanoTrack was born when we realised that the weak point of any tracking system is its communication link. Existing global satellite communication networks simply could not absorb data traffic associated with continuous tracking of tenths of thousands of flights.
nanoTrack: Relay is a further development. We upgrade our emerging constellation to a platform of a machine to machine (M2M) communication.
When it comes to M2M/IoT over Satellite, smaller companies face one big challenge for their business - choosing between affordable yet unreliable and not real-time satellite inter-connectivity or real-time, but expensive connectivity through devices that bring significant limitations.
nanoTrack: Relay will solve the dilemma by a dramatic reduction of cost per byte for M2M connectivity and, at the same time, reducing the latency to a notable minimum by transforming the connection from record-and-send to real-time.

the-project

The Project

VISIGN | Space tech presents a dynamic collection of aerospace-related projects, as we call them prototypes, in different stages of development. The current focus is IoT over Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) satellites. Getting closer to the Earth's surface gains a number of advantages for communication links. The path losses and cross-talk interference are reduced by a factor of five to ten. A specific problem of VLEO is the significant drag and orbit decay. The nanoTrack solution is a combination of shape optimization and innovative propulsion.

The other prototypes present opportunities from civil structure monitoring to planetary habitats. Check for new prototypes we plan to add in the following months.
